10/12/03 - Cyclocross is ON!!
And our notorious Dirty Dozen Contest is back. We managed to convince almost 20 bellas to take on their first Cross race last year. So, were doing it again this year. Velo Bella is a sponsor of the C category womens race at Surf City and the B category womens race at Pilarcitos. If you have never raced cross, what on earth are you waiting for? Come on out and see us at the races and sign up. Lots of fun, prizes and fanfare to all participants!
10/05/03 - Velo Bella welcomes Sally Spicer!
We are so happy to announce that Sally Spicer will be joining the Bellas as a sponsor of our 2003 cyclocross team. Sally Spicer makes unique handbags and zippered pouches. Her products will be on display at all Surf City, Pilarcitos and National CX races.
Leading the Bella charge is Christine Varadaros. Christine is a member of the US Worlds Cyclocross team and has two top ten finishes in European World Cup races. She will make her National Team bid again in 2003 with the generous help of Sally Spicer. Also on the elite cyclocross team is Kathy Lenno. Kathy is the reigning
(raining?) Masters National Champion in the 30-34 age group. Our tough team is rounded out by Jessica Runyon, Ann Cigan, and Sarah Kerlin.
